Lisa at Women’s Fund of Central Texas Keyholder 2016

On October 25, I’ll have the honor of being a member of the Keyholder Host Committee for Women’s Fund of Central Texas Keyholder 2016.

This great event will focus on the way that women are uniquely able to be key economic drivers within their community. Hosted at the ZACH Topfer Theatre, Keyholder 2016 will feature a keynote address by Andrea Jung, the CEO of Grameen America. Learn more about Andrea’s story here.

Keyholder 2016 is our new signature annual event and I’m hopeful that it will sell out and introduce hundreds of more investors in our community to the unique vision of the Women’s Fund and help fuel its growth.

I wanted to be a part of this event because I believe that supporting the needs of women and children is the key to strengthening any community. To do this in my own hometown is important to me. I’d like to see an ever greater increase in the numbers of visible women leaders in Austin and I’d like much more investment in women in the community. Investing in women produces a multiplier effect – women reinvest a large portion of their income in their families and communities. I’d like Austin to lead the way in grants, educational programming, and leadership development for women.

The Women’s Fund of Central Texas is a tremendous organization that has already provided more than $1.3 million in grants to nonprofits working to improve the lives of women and children in Central Texas. I encourage everyone to attend this event and join me as a sponsor. Together, we can continue to make great strides for women and children in our community.
