On September 29, I’ll be participating in the Diversity In The Startup and Tech Industry Summit at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the University of Texas campus. The event is hosted by UT’s Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, Growth and Renewal and will focus on how we’ve tried to improve diversity in the workplace in the past, what we’re doing now and how we can improve in the future.
I’ll be taking part in a panel discussion moderated by Preston James II with Barbary Brunner of Austin Technology Council, Charlie Jackson of Diversity Fund, and Dawn Jones of Intel. We’ll be going over many of my favorite topics, like the value of diversity in the workplace, why diversity initiatives fail, unconscious bias and global diversity.
The summit will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., with a networking reception following the panel. If you’d like to attend, you can register online here!
